Season Review

Winning 4-0 against Dunfermline at Annfield on the opening day of the season was about as good as it gets. What a game! What goals! What a result! Without doubt one of the best ever days to be a Bino...Beating Motherwell 2-0 two weeks later was also a good feeling. I can still see Lloyd Irvine's goal perfect free kick now...The three game Scottish Cup marathon against Clydebank was finally ended at neutral Brockville thanks to a goal by Matt McPhee...Graeme Armstrong shot us ahead against Celtic at Annfield in the League Cup. It was only after the sending off of Allan Moffat that the Glasgow side asserted their strength and went to win 2-1...Albion's eventual record of won 13, drawn 13, lost 13, goals for 40, goals against 40 summed up this particular season - "average". Scottish Football was in a sterile rut and we were no different to the rest...Gordon Arthur enjoyed his first full season as Binos goalkeeper and became an immediate hero with the supporters...George Young joined Rangers in a shock move...
