Season Review

Albion made a magnificent start to the season, winning at East Fife, at home to Kilmarnock and then at Dens Park against Dundee...after the later game the Albion fans had to fight a rearguard action to reach their buses and trains back to Stirling...Winning at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock in October was satisfying...The Clydebank Scottish Cup tie (they were an SPL side at the time) was abandoned due to fog and replayed the following night...The match against Rangers at Ibrox was a great anti-climax, played on a frozen pitch in front of a poor crowd... Sticking five past St Johnstone in March at Annfield with Billy Steele scoring a hat trick... Travelling to Morton midweek in September for a match between the top sides in Division Ones at the time... Scenes of major disorder at Annfield before, during and after the match with Hearts on September 24th... "Fans Riot At Annfield" screamed the headlines of the Stirling Observer the following week... Capitulation at Alloa in November... Gaining a well-deserved draw at Parkhead in the second leg of the League Cup tie having lost 2-1 at Annfield...
