Willie McFarlane
Willie had an undistinguished playing career with Hibernian, before moving on to manage Hawick Royal Albert. He was made Stirling Albion manager in March 1967, and his stay at Annfield was colourful to say the very least, with the club playing some excellent attacking football and scoring freely. However, his stay was brief, with him being offered the managers job at his former club Hibernian. Willie jumped at the chance, and took Stirling’s promising young full back Erich Schaedler with him. With only limited success at Easter Road he later moved onto Meadowbank Thistle in the mid 1970s. |
