Stirling revived their play-off hopes with their first win of the season over Dumbarton.
The victory moves them to within seven points of Peterhead and they have three games in hand, starting with a trip to Alloa on Tuesday.
It was another disappointing afternoon for Dumbarton, who have the worst away record in the division and have picked up just one point since beating Stirling at the end of January.
Iain Russell had an early chance for the visitors, but his angled shot was saved by Myles Hogarth, and Albion should have gone in front just before half-time when Paddy Connolly set up Chris Aitken, who blazed the ball over the bar.
Dumbarton threatened at the start of the second half, but the game appeared to be heading for a poor goal-less draw until it came to life in the last quarter.
Albion took the lead in the 68th minute when John Fraser picked out Connoly, who ran on and beat Stephen Grindlay with a fine low shot.
