Stirling continued there impressive run of form with an effective and well deserved three points.
Neither side were able to take control of the early exchanges and it was a full 18 minutes before the first real chance of the game brought the opening goal when Paddy Connolly latched on to a through ball and was able to pick his spot and shoot low under the keeper from 14 yards out.
Partick tried to hit back but despite enjoying the greater share of possession they were unable to trouble Myles Hogarthin in the Stirling goal until a full 37 minutes when Sean Kilgannon should have done better when through one on one with the keeper but shot weakly.
Stirling doubled there lead five minutes into the second half in bizarre circumstances when Paddy Connolly's back post header appeared to be cleared off the line by Will Snowdon however Colin Stewart in the Thistle goal managed to fumble the ball over his own line.
Partick did hit back and on 57 minutes Billy Gibson saw his 20-yard shot scream over the bar and a minute later Will Snowdon was unlucky to see his header from six yards loop over the wrong side of the bar.
Stirling made sure of all three points with a spectacular third after 63 minutes when Chris Aitken surprised everyone in the ground by firing an unstoppable volley from 30 yards out high into the top far corner of the net.
As the minutes ticked away Stirling were able to hold on for another three points to take them closer to the play-offs but Thistle will have to do a lot better if they are to remain in one of the play off spots.
