The Gretna goal machine roared on with a 6-0 demolition of play-off hopefuls Stirling Albion.
Man of the match Steve Tosh grabbed a first-half hat-trick as the Division Two champions-elect swept aside the Binos.
Tosh smashed the ball into the roof of the net after an Allan Jenkins effort came back off Mark McNally in the 28th minute and 10 minutes later he added a second when John O'Neil found him in the penalty box and the former Aberdeen man picked his spot.
James Grady made it three a minute later when he lashed the ball past Myles Hogarth after Tosh picked him out six yards from goal.
Tosh's hat-trick came a minute before the break when Gavin Skelton found him in space 15 yards from goal and he made no mistake firing past the keeper.
Jamie McQuilken started the second half the way that Gretna had ended the first when he poked home the Borderers' fifth when Tosh pulled the ball back.
O'Neil came close moments later when he thundered a 30-yard drive just over the bar but substitute Dene Shields did make it six with three minutes left on the clock when he slotted home from close range after a Ryan McGuffie shot rebounded off the post.
It could have been worse for Stirling as Skelton had two good chances to score and their hapless performance was summed up by the fact that they failed to get a single shot at the Gretna goal.
