Ten-man Stirling Albion outplayed Forfar to deservedly take all three points in their push for a play-off place.
The visitors looked to be up against it early on when they conceded a penalty and were reduced to ten men after only 12 minutes.
Andy Graham was caught on the wrong side of striker Michele Lombardi and pulled him back leaving the referee with little option but to produce the red card.
Darren Gribben sent keeper Myles Hogarth the wrong way with his spot-kick.
Forfar failed to take advantage of their extra man however and Albion levelled, again from the penalty spot, in the 35th minute.
Paddy Connolly was fouled as he rose for a header in the box and Chris Aitken squeezed home the penalty despite keeper Shaun Murdoch getting a hand to the ball.
Just before the interval Paul Lunan should have restored Forfar's lead but he skied the ball over the bar from only three yards out.
That miss proved costly as just seconds into the second half Aitken scored his second with a glorious free-kick. From 25 yards out he curled a perfect ball round the wall and past the dive of Murdoch.
Albion remained in control and Steven Bell should have put them further ahead when he was clear through on the keeper, but he shot into the sidenetting.
The closest Forfar came to salvaging a point was when Gribben smashed his shot off the crossbar from 20 yards.
