Both sides went into this match with a 100 per cent league record and it was Stirling who emerged with theirs intact.
However, the game was defintely one of two halves as Forfar dominated the first period but paid the price for passing up numerous chances and then handing Albion two gift-wrapped goals.
Forfar's first half corner count of nine was a fair reflection on their dominance and it looked only to be a matter of time before they made the breakthrough.
However, stout defending from Stirling and some goalkeeping heroics by Myles Hogarth kept Forfar at bay.
Hogarth made a string of brilliant saves to deny Paul Tosh, Jay Stein and Paul Shields.
Albion's best chance came on the half-hour mark when Scott McLean forced a great one-handed save from keeper Michael Brown.
Albion were relieved to be level at the break and manager Allan Moore's team talk worked wonders as within four minutes they were ahead.
Martin Glancy pounced on a poor ball by Edward Forrest and strode into the box. He took the ball wide of the keeper and stroked it home into the empty net.
Forfar were less shell-shocked at being behind and their hopes of getting back into the match were killed of in the 65th minute by another defensive error.
Mark Booth failed to clear his lines and the ball broke to David O' Brien and he picked his spot in the top corner.
Forfar's luck was summed up when Shields beat the keeper but saw his shot come back off the post.
