If postponed - Tuesday December 14th, 7.45pm. If drawn - Tuesday December 21st, 7.45pm Brechin duly defeated Glasgow University ten days ago so we will be heading for Angus on December 11th. The draw could hardly have given us a harder task to reach the Round Three - away to the team at the top of Division Two, who recently put five goals past us on our own ground. Numerous ex Binos - notably Paul Deas and Chris Templeman. The locale...We've been to Brechin often enough recently so you'll know everything there is to know about it. Allow five minutes to explore the town centre. Reminds me a lot of Crieff. Glebe Park is on the Northern edge of the town, on the "old" road to Aberdeen. The travel...Very straightforward if you are going be road. Dunblane/ Perth/ Dundee/Forfar (thankfully all by-passed, unlike 30 years ago). Take the Brechin turn off from the A90 and once in town centre follow the Aberdeen signs. For parking you can use the club cap park although it can e congested at the end of the game. Safeway Car park is only 100 yards away. Absolve your conscience by purchasing a can of Red Bull from the shop. Not so straightforward if you want to go by train. The best option is train to Montrose and then bus or taxi to Brechin which is about 7 miles away. The ground...Glebe Park is always a popular trip with the Binos. Great view from the stand behind one goal; good atmosphere in the terracing behind the other goal. Catering is good - pie stall under the new stand. Segregation not applied for our visits so you can roam as you please. The fans...Never seem to get that excited about matches against Stirling Albion. A cross section of the local population. Sadly most under 12's seem to wear Rangers or Celtic strips.
