News In Brief
Stirling Albion 20-0 Selkirk - 20th Anniversary
Wednesday the 8th of December saw the 20th Anniversary of Stirling Albion record 20-0 victory over Selkirk. The result was also the highest score by any British League side during the Twentieth century and realistically is never likely to ever happen again, certainly not in this country. A flag has been purchased by the supporters to commemorate the victory and a number of articles have been inside Scottish National papers in recent weeks.
The club shop will open between 6pm and 7pm on Thursday's the 9th, 16th and 23rd on the run up to Christmas. It will also be open both this Saturday and the following Saturday at 10am for an hour. Please note - the shop is still open during normal hours. Check out the Commercial Section for more details.

Manager Merry Go Round
Forfar Athletic have appointed Dumbarton boss Brian Fairley as their new manager after sacking Ray Stewart a couple of weeks ago. Dumbarton have responded to his by appointing former captain Paul Martin. Meanwhile, former Stirling Albion striker Chris Templeman has left Brechin to join fellow Promotion rivals Greenock Morton in a deal thought to be worth over £100,000.
Brechin on Saturday
The Binos will face Brechin City in the Scottish Cup on Saturday after they beat Glasgow University 3-0 in the previous round. It is likely that Stewart Devine will return to the starting line up after missing due to personal reasons, which could see young Sean Roycroft, Man of the Match for the last two matches, dropped to the bench.
Young Reds Bowling
The Annual Christmas Bowling Night was held tonight at the AMF Bowl. 36 Young Reds enjoyed 2 games of bowling with juice and crisps for refreshments. They were joined from the start of the night by 12 youth players who helped make the night very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the first team players were unable to make it as the manager had ararnged a match against Berwick Rangers for the benefit of the fringe players. However, Chris Scotland did make it in time to help with handing out the selection boxes. He was later joined by Allan Moore, Sean Roycroft, Steven Hutchison and Dougie Wilson who were all kept busy signing autographs.
Particular thanks go to the following youth players:- Paul Donnelly, Chris Brophy, Sean Nisbet, Douglas Pender, John Tully, David Forbes, Nathan Taggart, Michael Conroy, David McLean, Scott Christie, Robert McSkimming and Mark Hughes. Thanks should also go to the staff at AMF Bowl for their help in organising the event.
